Interview With A Fairy

Interview with a Fairy: Sapphire, Leader of the Golden Circle Commando Fairies

Sapphire and Ruby Faries

Was there a trip that changed your life?

I had never dove into a tropical ocean before and it changed my life for ever.  Before this I had only searched in dreams of things that I had seen from land or the sky, but below those waters holds a magical and colourful world; one that I plan on basing a whole realm of Fairyville after.

What is is your dream extractor of choice?

The DE74, there is no  better option.  It sure beats having to shrink down and go right into a child’s ear like we used to.  There are newer models out there and I have used them all, but the DE74 does exactly what it is meant to do.  I pull the lever back and out pops the dream, silent as can be.  A child will never wake up, it is so quiet.  When I had to go into the ear you had to make sure that your wings didn’t touch the ear canal as you would tickle your target awake and that would be the end of your mission for certain.

Tell us about your 2nd in command, Ruby?

Ruby and I were born only weeks apart but in different realms of Fairyville.  A faithful day brought us together as young Dream Extractors.  I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side going into battle.  She truly is a Dream Extractor visionary.

What is your favourite extraction that you have done?

My favourite extraction had to be the field of jellybeans.  It took hundreds of fairies working all night long pulling them one by one flying them back over the rainbow into Fairyville.  Once re-planted they grew overnight right up to my waste.

What do you want your legacy to be?

I no longer want Fairyville to be a place made up of dreams but a land that children actually dream of.  A place that we no longer have to scavenge for lollipops and gumballs with fear of vicious household cats ready to pounce, to enjoy us as a tasty treat.

What advice would you give to a young fairy?

Dream big.  Dream like a young child.  Children don’t have anything holding them back or someone telling them that they can not achieve something.  The world is your oyster and if you want to live in an oyster filled with pearls so be it.
