My New Favourite Family Game

Scabs n’ Guts

Our family game night has been a repetitive cycle of old classic games , but we were recently introduced to my new favourite game, “Scabs n’ Guts”.  It is recommended for ages 6+ and it is full of gross scientific facts and interesting medical trivia.  The categories are “Scrapes & Scabs, Blood & Guts, Blubber or Buff? and Pick a Category”; with names like these you know that you are in for a night of stomaching churning fun!

Here are some examples of questions:

Question 1
“If left untreated, the bubonic plague (also known as the Black Death) will kill you in how many days:

4, 40 or 400?”

Answer: 4

“So don’t hang about in Emergency waiting your turn!”

Question 2

“What is a botfly: a fly that lives in your bottom, the opening of a hospital gown, or a fly that grows under a person’s skin?”

Answer: A fly that grows under a person’s skin

“It gets under your skin when a mosquito bites you and pops out when fully grown.”

If you are going to YouTube botfly I don’t recommend it while the kids are around.  Super gross and generally curse words in most of the videos, but if you like disgusting it is well worth the watch.

Happy Gaming!
